* Axels Imprint Rescue and Sanctuary – Cats, will be shortened to “AIR’ per below. *Reference to ‘cats’ includes kittens’ below. Foster agrees: 1. Everyone who lives with the above named foster strongly agrees to have these foster cats in their home. 2. An in-person home visit will happen before any cats are left with a foster. 3. The cats will NEVER have outdoor access (not on a harness, not in a catio, not outside in any manner) 4. The cats will be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days or longer as agreed upon with AIR. 5. Regular updates via phone, text and in person visits with AIR will be given and allowed. 6. If foster cats are not doing well, the foster will notify AIR immediately—this includes but is not limited to: illness, diarrhea, not eating well, lethargy, lameness, sudden change in personality, is injured, etc. 7. Foster cats belong to AIR and the foster has no rights or claim to them. Foster cats and their medical records/passports are the property of AIR. 8. Foster parents will take foster cats to all agreed upon vet appointments in a carrier and will not take foster cats to any vet without AIR’s permission. 9. AIR is not responsible for any damage to another person or property and no attempt will be made to hold this rescue responsible. I acknowledge that AIR may not be held liable should a foster cat bite or injure a person or another animal while in my possession. I accept full liability for the foster cat while in my care, recognizing the potential issues that may arise with any animal. 10. AIR will pay for all medical appointments booked by AIR. When supplies, toys, litter, food (often is), wet food, etc. are available, they will be supplied. Otherwise the foster home agrees to provide litter, and other supplies the foster cats need while in their care. 11. A very clean home and foster environment will be provided for the foster cats at all times. Litter boxes will be scooped daily and all dishes, floors, etc. will be kept clean. Water will always be available for foster cats and they will be fed a min. of twice per day. 12. If the foster will be away from home for more than 12hours, they will notify AIR in advance. 13. Fosters will not transfer custody of foster cats to anyone other than the founder of AIR or an approved representative of AIR from her (April), and agrees to return foster cats to AIR upon request. Foster agrees to notify AIR, without delay, if they can no longer care for their foster cats. 14. Foster agrees to give the foster cat all required medications or treatments as needed and prescribed by AIR and/or the veterinarian. 15. Foster will not abuse or neglect the foster cat or allow them to be abused or neglected by anyone. They will never allow any physical, mental, or emotional abuse of the cat. Foster cats will be treated like family, well cared for, socialized and given lots of positive attention. 16. I affirm that no member of my household has been convicted or charged with any animal welfare law violation such as neglect, cruelty, abandonment, etc. I affirm that no member of my household has been convicted or charged with any domestic battery or sex crime. 17. I acknowledge that cats can carry zoonotic diseases and release AIR from any liability should anyone in my household, human or other animal contract a zoonotic disease. 18. I understand that by voluntarily signing this agreement, I am entering into a legal and binding contract with AIR. I understand that any misrepresentations in this agreement are cause for AIR to declare this agreement in breach.
